Electronic Health Information Export

MedConnectHealth is compliant with 170.315(b)(10) and meets the following requirements:

• Single patient electronic health information export.
  • Enable a user to timely create an export file(s) with all a single patient’s electronic health information that can be stored at the time of certification by the product, of which the Health IT Module is a part.
  • A user must be able to execute this capability at any time the user chooses and without subsequent developer assistance to operate.
  • Limit the ability of users who can create such export file(s) in at least one of these two ways:
    • To a specific set of identified users
    • As system administrator function.
  • The export file(s) created must be electronic and in a computable format.
  • The publicly accessible hyperlink of the export’s format must be included with the exported file(s).

• Patient population electronic health information export.
  • Create an export of all the electronic health information that can be stored at the time of certification by the product, of which the Health IT Module is a part.
  • The export created must be electronic and in a computable format.
  • The publicly accessible hyperlink of the export’s format must be included with the exported file(s).
    • To achieve the complete export of all patients, there are 2 available options.
      • A user can perform a single patient export for each individual patient.
      • The first option can become a very time consuming process due to the number of patients within an organization, so to assist with this, MedConnectHealth can coordinate with the practice, to perform a complete export of all patients upon request as a secondary option.

• Documentation.
  • The export format(s) used to support paragraphs (b)(10)(i) and (ii) of this section must be kept up to date.

• Export Format.
  • Patient electronic health information is exported into the following folder structure and then accessed in .zip file.
    • Patient/Clinic Folder
      • CCDA in compliance with USCDI v3 (XML)
      • Demographics (PDF)
      • Scanned Documents (PDF, JPG, PNG)
      • Clinical Notes (PDF)
      • Lab Results (PDF)
      • Financial Ledger (PDF)
